Join the Movement: Be Part of the 2026 Gumbo Bowl

Building Community Through Adaptive Sports, Veterans, and Louisiana Tradition

The 2026 Gumbo Bowl is more than a football event—it’s a community celebration that brings together veterans, active-duty military members, adaptive athletes, families, businesses, nonprofits, and local leaders for two unforgettable days of inclusion, teamwork, and Louisiana culture.

Hosted by S.M.C.L. Foundation & Associates Inc., the inaugural Gumbo Bowl will feature Veterans & Military Wheelchair Football, Flag Football exhibitions, a Louisiana Gumbo Cook-Off, adaptive sports demonstrations, community resources, live entertainment, vendors, and family-friendly activities. Our goal is simple: create opportunities, raise awareness for adaptive sports, and strengthen connections throughout our community.

How You Can Get Involved

There are many ways to support the Gumbo Bowl and help make this event a success.

Businesses & Corporate Partners

Sponsorship provides valuable exposure while demonstrating your commitment to veterans, adaptive sports, and community engagement.

  • Brand recognition before, during, and after the event
  • Logo placement on event marketing materials
  • Vendor and networking opportunities
  • Social media and website recognition
  • The opportunity to directly impact veterans and individuals with disabilities

Nonprofit & Community Organizations

Community organizations are encouraged to participate by hosting resource tables, sharing information about their programs, recruiting volunteers, and connecting with attendees. Together, we can build stronger partnerships that continue long after the event ends.

Individual Supporters

Everyone can make a difference.

Whether you volunteer your time, make a donation, compete in the Gumbo Cook-Off, register to participate, or simply attend the event with your family, your support helps expand adaptive sports opportunities and strengthens programs serving veterans and individuals with disabilities throughout our region.

Every volunteer, every sponsor, every participant, and every donation helps make the Gumbo Bowl possible.
