New Orleans Saints Wheelchair Football Team Hits the Vegas Strip!

What a trip! The New Orleans Saints Wheelchair Football Team just wrapped up our first-ever tournament in Las Vegas at Move United’s USA Wheelchair Football League. Playing right on the Fremont Street Strip was beyond anything we’d ever experienced—the energy, the crowds, and the bright lights brought this game to a whole new level.

Vegas didn’t disappoint, and neither did our team! Sure, the competition was fierce, but one of the best parts wasn’t just the game—it was the sense of community that came with it. Athletes from all over the country came together, connecting and cheering each other on. This is what makes wheelchair football special; it’s more than a game. It’s a movement, a family, and a place where we all get to push each other to be our best.

Through the work of organizations like the S.M.C.L. Foundation & Associates, wheelchair football and adaptive sports are truly changing lives. The S.M.C.L. Foundation’s mission of enhancing quality of life for the disabled community and others is all about inclusion and growth, and wheelchair football is already making a difference.

The Saints went all out, playing with that New Orleans heart and hustle. Every game was a new test, and we brought everything we had. While the Kansas City Chiefs Wheelchair Football Team is Super Bowl-bound (and this year it’s on their home turf!), the Saints are going home to train, recruit, and keep working hard. We’re on a mission to become one of the top teams in the league, and this experience only fueled that fire.

Now that we’re back in New Orleans, it’s all about training and bringing more players into the fold. We’re building something special here, and it’s not just about football. It’s about creating opportunities, inspiring each other, and spreading the love for adaptive sports. This team has heart, hustle, and a whole lot of ambition—and we’re just getting started.

Thanks to everyone who’s been following along and cheering us on. We’re excited to keep building, training, and representing New Orleans. Keep an eye out for updates, and let’s keep this movement rolling! 🖤💛 #SaintsWheelchairFootball #WheelchairFootballFamily
